AUTO GLASS SERVICES
Windshield Repair & Replacement
Your vehicle’s windshield takes a beating on a daily basis, which is why it’s the most common auto glass repair we service. Little rocks and pieces of debris can become massive problems when they crash into your windshield at high-speeds. What can look like a small chip or crack can quickly grow, compromising the strength of your auto glass.
6 STEPS TO SUCCESS
Our Process
If you value safety on the open road, it’s imperative to get those smaller issues repaired before they spiral into something more dangerous and way more expensive. We’ve never met a crack we couldn’t fill or an imperfection we couldn’t hide - all of your chips, nicks, and gouges will vanish without a trace.
If your windshield is beyond repair, we’ll go ahead and replace it. If you’re curious and want to see under the hood of a windshield replacement process, here’s how it works:
Remove Trim
First, our experienced technicians will remove the old trim that’s fastening your windshield in place.Removal of Glass
Once the trim is removed, they’ll take the damaged windshield out and clean-up any stray pieces of glass.Debris Inspection
Now that your car’s old windshield is out of the picture, our technician will check for left-over adhesive, dirt, debris, and, most importantly, rust.Preparation
If rust is present, it’ll need to be sanded down and re-primed before moving to the final step of the process.Adhesive Application
Finally, once your car’s windshield frame has been properly cleaned, urethane is applied around the edges and a brand new windshield is fitted and placed.Time to Dry
We recommend waiting at least an hour after your windshield repair service is completed before you take your car for a spin around the block.NOT JUST WINDSHIELDS
Car Window and Mirror Repairs and Replacements
Driving with damaged or malfunctioning windows is uncomfortable and unsafe. You can’t leave valuables in the car, snow and rain find their way into your front seat, and it can lead to other problems the longer you put off getting it fixed. Similar to our windshield replacement services, we’ll meet you at your door or our front desk and have you back on the road in no time at all.
It’s important to understand that car window replacements are slightly more complicated than their windshield counterparts. The reason? Two words: door panels. Depending on the make and model of your vehicle, the inner mechanisms of your door panels can be both simple or wildly complex. Even with your vehicle’s service manual in-hand, we don’t recommend taking on the window repair on your own - it’s most likely going to cause more headaches down the road.
And to add to the complexity of your car window replacement, your door’s window motor needs to be taken into account too. It’s just as frustrating as a crack, if not more, for your window to be stuck in either an up or down position. Like any other component of your car, door motors can fail over time. So whether its your car window, door motor, or both, we’ll ensure they’re all in good working order.
